CSI Home Based Business Opportunity

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

A good friend invited me to take a look at a website and listen in on a conference call for a business opportunity that I had never heard of called CSI. I agreed to check the website and listen to the call with an open mind. This is my review based on the information as it was given to me.

Crowd Sourcing International is a company that was started two years ago in Dallas TX. The objective of the company is to create a national database of information which can be accessed for a fee by lienholders. The information is gathered by Independent Representatives or Information Consultants. These consultants record ten random license plate numbers every and simply enter them into the CSI database.

Additionally, the Information Consultants also referred to as Data Collectors, earn bonuses by sharing the opportunity with those interested in supplementing their income. Along with recruiting new Independent Representatives, Consultants also earn money by registering new clients (lienholders) into the program.

Based on the compensation numbers, this is not a get rich quick scheme. The compensation is modest but with volume the potential for accumulating wealth steadily appears to be great. The earnings plan has a “Start Up Bonus” with clear cut steps for getting an immediate return on the investment for becoming a Data Collector. The cost to become a Independent Representatives is extremely low compared to other business opportunities. The cost is a mere $100. The “Start Up Bonus” earnings plan pays up to $125 for an immediate ROI.

The Pros of CSI:

1. Small Sign Up Cost.

2. Does not demand high pressure selling.

3. There is no purchasing or stocking products.

4. There are no home parties or weekly meetings.

5. They are no unachievable promises of riches or exaggerated payment plans.

The Cons of CSI:

1. The company has only been around for 2 years so there is no track record of long term achievement.

2. Because the company is still so new there isn’t an enormous amount of knowledge about it around.

3. The simplicity of the opportunity creates skepticism.

4. Most people have never heard of it.

5. Low cost programs are often over looked or devalued.

Of the thousands of business opportunities out there this one has the least amount of hype and get rich jargon. I could not obtain any legitimate complaints filed against the company. Nor could I locate any disgruntled former Consultants. Maybe, its still too new to tell. Which could suggest this is a ground floor opportunity for anyone willing to risk $100.

It’s worth checking out for yourself for a complete overview of the CSI business opportunity visit Crowd Sourcing International

Work From Home – This Determines Success

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

Working from home has it’s perks. For instance, you do not necessarily have a set schedule, which is nice. Furthermore, going to the office consists on walking to another room in your house. This being the case, it sometimes becomes difficult to separate work time from personal time. If you are able to distinguish the two, you will be able to keep them apart. Below, we will discuss how this can be done.

For starters, make sure that you engage in a business which is amenable to a home office. It goes without saying that not every business is suitable to a home environment. For instance, a business which requires that customers physically visit the home office, will severely cloud the home life, work life distinction.

Furthermore, treat your home office just as you would any office. What this means, is that you need to be professional at your home office, just as you would be in an office outside of the home. This means having a phone and voice mail system set up, keeping regular business hours, being organized, and absolutely no dogs barking, or children crying in the background, when on a phone call.

Also, make sure that your work space is in an optimal location in the house. This will greater enable your ability to remain professional. Do not create a series of satellite offices within you home. Rather, find the ideal location, and drop your anchor (figuratively speaking). Locate an area in your home which can be dedicated to running a business. Ideally, this will be a quiet, private location, away from street noise, and other potential distractions. Organize this space with the necessary equipment and furniture to operate your home business comfortably.

Setting up your office in a quiet location and remaining professional is one thing. However, you must also give your friends and family the same opportunity to allow you to treat your home business as a business. Make sure that you inform your friends of your arrangement at the outset. Inform both your friends and family of the hours which you are now keeping. Doing this will set boundaries. Thus, your friends and family will be aware of the fact that you are unavailable during a predetermined set of hours during the day. Furthermore, such communication will enable others to assist in keeping you from being interrupted.

Now that the groundwork has been taken care of, it is time to launch your home business. Not so fast. You must always take steps to plan where you are heading otherwise you will become lost and overwhelmed. While being your own boss is nice, it also requires that you remain on task. Stay on pace and realize that if you are unable to finish a daily task on the day in which it was to be finished, you must allot time on the next day.

Goal setting is important. You should set both long-term and short-term goals. Short-term goals will allow you to track you path towards your ultimate goals. While it is great to be ambitious, make sure that your goals are achievable.

Nonetheless, you should always maintain a balance between life, and work life. Do not let work life dominate or encompass your everyday life. Try and keep your work life and everyday life as separate as possible. I know this may be difficult, but this is one ot the things which you need to think of in the early stage of setting up your home office. For instance, make sure that you keep your home office in a section of the house which does not need to be occupied for purposes other than work. Commit yourself to a clock out time, and stick to it, unless an absolute emergency arises.

Once your business grows to a point where you able to do so, dedicate a portion of your profits towards outsourcing some of your tasks. This will allow your business to run more efficiently, and give you a better balance between work life, and everyday life.

If you follow the work from home tips set out in the article, you should have very nice success with your home business.

Benefits Of LCD Monitors And How To Repair

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. LCD monitors are usually 1″ to 3″ thick and weigh less than 10 pounds. The older CRT monitor weighs 30 to 50 pounds and is several inches thick.

The LCD monitor consists of five layers. Colored pixels, backlight, a sheet of polarized glass, a layer of liquid crystal solution, and a second polarized sheet of glass. A picture is created when the crystals act like tiny shutters, opening or closing in response to the stimulus, thereby allowing degrees of light that pass through specific colored pixels to illuminate the screen.

The LCD monitor is brighter than a CRT monitor and weighs only a few pounds. They are much easier on the eyes and take up 90% less space. They use one-third to one-half the electricity of CRTs.

Although larger sizes are available, most LCD monitors range from 15″ to 21″. To get an idea of what size screen you should choose, the 15″ LCD will have an actual 15-inch viewing screen.

Some examples of LCD Monitor brand names: acer, hp, compaq, gateway, dell, packard bell, viewsonic, samsung, relisys, envision, benq, eizo, ibm, jetway , lenovo, nec, philips, proview, Iiyama, sharp, sony, lg, westinghouse, norwood, lacie, xerox, asus, aoc.

How To Make Money – Build Your Email List

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Learning how to make money online starts with an understand of how important it is to develop a strong, responsive email list. It is important for online business owners to possess a pool of contacts who are receptive to their marketing messages. This will enable their businesses to continue to grow. Just take a moment to consider the benefits of being able to send your marketing message directly to prospects who already want to read what you are offering. As you can see, an email list eventually becomes an online business owner’s biggest asset. If you have not yet begun to build your own email mailing list, then you are not properly monetizing your website traffic.

As mentioned above, in order to consistently build your business over time, you need to consistently build your list of opt-in subscribers. Your opt-in subscribers essentially make up your client base. These are the individuals who want to see what you can offer then to satisfy a want or need that they may have. Such an email list enables you to gain the maximum time value from a customer, or turn your visitors into buyers. In other words, rather than someone seeing your website and making a decision whether to buy or not on the spot, when you capture the visitor’s email address, you have the ability to market to them in the future.

So many new online entrepreneurs are on a quest to determine how to make money as quickly as possible with a short-term vision. This is why the failure rate is so high in online business. Rather, there must be a long-term vision supported by long-term goals. The fact of the matter is that it is much easier to build a receptive email marketing list than you probably think. To make sure that you get off on the right foot, we are going to discuss some of the most effective list building methods.

One of my favorite methods is the free giveaway. After all, who doesn’t like getting something for free? What you offer your visitors can be as simple as a free eBook, software, or newsletter subscription. Just realize that in each instance, they have to give you their email address in order to receive what you are giving to them. The only thing that I must caution you about, is offering something which is of low value. For instance, so many products today have free giveaway rights. Essentially what this means is that you can purchase a product, along with the right to give it away for free to those who opt into your list. The problem with this is that many of your visitors will have already been offered this product on numerous occasions. How do you think this makes you look? Not very good. I always am for offering an eBook which you have written. The software can be ancillary to the main attraction, which is the eBook.

Rather than sitting around and wishing that your marketing gains traction, you can turn it into a numbers game that makes you the boss of with articles. Once you are sending out the kind of content that your prospects want to see, you will be able to sit back and watch as they become loyal fans. By using article marketing, you can gain a lot of trust with the people who like your articles, and this often leads them to sign up on your list. This means they will anxiously look forward to what you will send to them next via email. Sending a blend of articles and good deals is a great way to keep your readers interested and appreciative

A neglected strategy by many email marketers is building a relationship with their subscribers. They think that it is okay to selling to their subscribers prior to gaining their trust with valuable information. Not surprisingly, you have a list because you are utilizing it as a means of how to make money. The only thing is that your subscribers do not care that you want to make money. They have subscribed for what is in it for them, not you. Therefore, it is important that you provide them quality information every week or two. This material can be absolutely anything from an ebook, audio message, video message, report, etc. Whatever you feel will be adding value to your list, should be on your list of things to provide to your subscribers.

The good news is that if it is your goal to make a consistent income on the Internet with very little effort, then you must put a huge effort into building your email opt-in list from the beginning. Just remember that you must have a long-term vision to accomplish such a goal, and act consistently over time. Once you have your list, you will have determined how to make money.
